Based on an entry count for NE-EN, the new Comprehensive Dictionary of Industry & Technology NE-EN/EN-NE currently contains 168,233 entries compared to 99,000 entries in the dictionaries of its nearest competitor, the Kluwer Groot Polytechnisch Woordenboek NE-EN. The EN-NE edition contains 352,000 entries. All entry counts represent unique concepts, not homonyms or cross-references. The EN-NE-DE version of this dictionary currently contains 143,000 unique entries and will be available (to online subscribers) from June 2011.

The target number of entries referred to above does not imply that the dictionaries are incomplete. This target refers to new additions to both dictionaries between now and December 2011. New terms and translations are added on a weekly basis.
Within the last 6 months the dictionaries have seen an increase of some 35% and a further 7500 terms will be added in the next few weeks, bringing to the total to more than 170,000 entries by the end of June.
The added value of these online dictionaries is therefore expressed by the continual increase in new entries.
